"Find your tribe
love them hard"
Holidays, Birthdays, random days, Sunday dinners.. Are my most favorite times, because they are spent with my family. I am such a quality time person and so is my husband. which is amazing because Family time is a big thing on my side. We have always been pretty close, and getting together on a weekend for a bbq is something we do often. One of the things i am most thankful for is the relationships i have in my family.. My Mom is my Ultimate Best friend, as well as my Aunts. i cant think of a time where we were not laughing our heads off about some random story or situation.. My Uncles (even though there are only a few) Obvi Girls rule the world.. They are pretty great too.
My cousins, haha they are something else.. We have all had our share of drama with each other, some a little toooooo much (but no ones holding a grudge) haha.
Seriously though!
Growing up, we spent just about every weekend at Grandmas, Summers, our vacation spot was Grandmas. The most epic time of the summer is when our cousins from Ft.worth (glen rose) came down. All hell broke loose, from Mud fights to buns up to catching grandmas front yard on fire and pissing off my grandpa (lord rest his soul) Those summers were well spent with my family.. Till this day we literally die laughing at some of the most ridiculous things we did as kids... I just remember a family friend getting bit in the ass by my cousins dog and we all thought it was hilarious.. (it was far from that) Oops!
I think about us now, and we all are adults. Most of us have kids now, and our kids play together (some of them) like i said above some of us still hold grudges, so we don't see those kids much.. Our Grandma and Grandpa are gone now, and all we have are these stories and memories. I absolutely Love sharing them with my boys, they think its so cool that my grandma used to have a goat in her back yard. not like its an uncommon thing.. they actually think their grandma needs to get a goat now haha.
My aunt and uncle took over My grandmothers house, shes been gone for a little while now. and since then we haven't spent much time there. but since My aunt and uncle have it now, they have done work to the house. it looks so great. so different, but it still feels like my grandparents house... Over the Memorial weekend, my Aunt and uncle had a BBQ there..and we all got to spend some time just hanging out at Grandmas house. This is why i am so thankful for the family that i have Quality time is a big thing for all of us.. "When you love what you have, you have everything you need" and that for me is Family.. <3
